We know, we know...another list. But it's that time of year when we reflect on the year in fashion and ponder the developments made in the name of sustainability over the last 12 months. Chief Shoe Giver Blake Mycoskie brings his vision to the U.S.
TOMS, the canvas slip-ons modeled after Argentina's alpargatas, has achieved record popularity since the company launched its first collection a mere two years ago. This isn't necessarily because the shoes are super comfortable, brightly colored and the go-to summer shoe for in-the-know hipsters. The company's one-for-one business model -- for every adult pair sold, the company donates a pair to a child in need -- has turned more than a few heads in the business community.
